Kugel, William F.
William F. Kugel was chair of the Music Department from 1941-1947.

Lahmer, Reuel
Reuel Lahmer served as a composer in residence at Carroll College from 1946-1948. Lahmer served as a First Lieutenant in the Army Medical Corps, but during the war had written some music for the Carroll College Choir. According to a statement by the then President of Carroll College Gerritt T. VanderLugt. Mr. Kugel Head of the Music Department in 1946 asked Reuel to compose some music in honor of the school's 100th Anniversary.

von Reuter, Florizel
Florizel von Reuter was the former teacher of the first conductor of the Waukesha Symphony. Mr. von Reuter was a native of Davenport, Iowa. He was a violin master and spent most of this career playing in Europe and teaching at the Vienna State Academy of Music, where he taught Milton Weber, Carroll College music professor and the first conductor of the Waukesha Symphony. (The Waukesha Symphony was founded in 1947 by Carroll College President Nelson Vance Russell). Mr. von Reuter retired to the Milwaukee area and upon is death in 1985, his wife donated his compositions to the Carroll College Archives.
